MEDFORD, Ore. (Jul. 3, 2026) — Pop culture retailer BoxLunch is celebrating the grand opening of its newest Rogue Valley Mall location this weekend with two days of entertainment, giveaways and activities for fans.
The new Medford store is the company’s first Oregon location outside the Willamette Valley, expanding the retailer’s presence into Southern Oregon.
The grand opening celebration will take place Saturday, July 4, and Sunday, July 5, at the new store inside Rogue Valley Mall, 1600 N. Riverside Ave. The event will feature games, prizes, photo opportunities and a live DJ from noon to 3 p.m. both days. The store is located on the second level near the central elevator.
Shoppers who arrive early will have a chance to receive complimentary BoxLunch gift cards valued between $10 and $100. The first 50 attendees each day will receive a gift card, with customers encouraged to line up before the store opens at 10 a.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday.
The California-based specialty retailer offers licensed merchandise inspired by popular movies, television shows, anime, gaming, comics and other fandoms, including apparel, accessories, collectibles, home décor and gifts.
Company officials say each new store is designed to provide an immersive shopping experience where fans can connect over shared interests while supporting charitable initiatives.
As part of its ongoing philanthropic efforts, BoxLunch partners with Feeding America and local food banks, including the Oregon Food Bank, to help provide meals for individuals and families facing food insecurity. The company says every $10 spent helps provide one meal through its partnership with Feeding America.
BoxLunch currently operates more than 280 stores across the United States and is headquartered in California.
