EUGENE, Ore. (Jun. 17, 2026) — A Corvallis man has been sentenced to more than 19 years in federal prison for distributing child sexual abuse material and violating the terms of supervised release from a prior federal conviction, federal prosecutors announced Tuesday.
Blaine Garrett Reposa, 41, was sentenced in U.S. District Court to a total of 234 months in prison, followed by a lifetime term of supervised release, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon.
Federal officials described Reposa as a repeat offender who continued to distribute child sexual abuse material despite previous criminal sanctions.
“This repeat offender has continued to exploit and victimize children who have already endured profound abuse,” U.S. Attorney Scott E. Bradford said in a statement. “Today’s sentence sends a clear message that those who prey on children will be held accountable.”
The investigation began in October 2024 after the Corvallis Police Department learned that Reposa was uploading child sexual abuse material online. Detectives executed a search warrant at his residence and seized multiple electronic devices.
According to court documents, investigators found more than 6,000 images and 2,500 videos depicting child sexual abuse material on one smartphone. Authorities said the files primarily involved male minors, including infants and toddlers. A second smartphone contained additional evidence, including internet searches related to child sexual abuse material, along with more than 300 images and 20 videos.
Investigators also determined that between May and July 2024, Reposa distributed child sexual abuse material to nine different users through Session, an encrypted messaging platform. In October 2024, he allegedly sent nearly 40 videos containing child sexual abuse material to a user on Telegram.
“Today’s sentence is representative of the FBI and our partners’ commitment to pursuing child sex offenders through investigative tenacity and teamwork,” said FBI Portland Special Agent in Charge Doug Olson. “We work tirelessly with our partners, as we did here with the Corvallis Police Department and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon, to bring offenders like Blaine Reposa to justice, and to give victims an opportunity to heal.”
A federal grand jury in Eugene returned a three-count indictment against Reposa on Sept. 18, 2025, charging him with distribution of child pornography. He pleaded guilty on March 10, 2026, to one count of distribution of child pornography.
The case was investigated by the FBI and the Corvallis Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeffrey S. Sweet prosecuted the case.
Federal authorities noted that child sexual abuse material documents the sexual exploitation of real children and that each distribution of such material can further traumatize victims by perpetuating the circulation of images and videos depicting their abuse.
The prosecution was part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide Department of Justice initiative aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and identifying victims of abuse.
