Oregon Ballot Drop Boxes Open Until 8 P.M. for Statewide Election

SALEM, Ore. (May. 19, 2026) — Tobias Read is urging Oregon voters to return their completed ballots before the 8 p.m. deadline Tuesday in order to participate in the May statewide election.

The Oregon Secretary of State’s Office said voters can use an online tool to locate the nearest official ballot drop box by entering their home address. Ballots may also be submitted at a local post office for a manual postmark or delivered directly to a county elections office.

“If you haven’t submitted your ballot yet, you have until 8:00 p.m. tonight to find your nearest ballot drop box and cast your vote,” Read said in a statement. “Elections are foundational to our democracy, and the more eligible Oregonians who participate, the more our government truly reflects the will of the people.”

Unofficial election results are expected to begin appearing shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Secretary of State’s Office.
