Three Rivers Schools Enter Secure Closed Campus Mode as Precaution

GRANTS PASS, Ore. (Apr. 29, 2026) — All schools in the Three Rivers School District were placed into a closed campus Secure Mode procedure as a precautionary measure, district officials announced.

Under the Secure Mode protocol, students and staff remain safely inside school buildings while entry onto campuses is restricted. District officials said normal activities inside the schools are continuing as scheduled, with students under staff supervision.

The district did not immediately release details about what prompted the precautionary action. Officials said they are working closely with authorities and will reopen campuses as soon as it is deemed safe.

Families and community members were asked not to come to school campuses or call schools during the incident so staff can focus on coordinating the response.
