MEDFORD, Ore. (Apr. 20, 2026) — The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a wind advisory for parts of southern Oregon, warning of gusty conditions that could impact travel and utilities Monday.
The advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. and covers portions of the Interstate 5 corridor through the Rogue Valley, including Central Point, Medford, Talent and Ashland.
Forecasters said southeast winds of 15 to 25 mph are expected, with gusts reaching up to 45 mph.
The agency warned that the winds could blow around unsecured objects and may lead to isolated power outages. Drivers, particularly those operating high-profile vehicles, could face hazardous conditions along exposed stretches of road.
Residents are advised to secure lightweight outdoor items such as tents and empty trash bins and to use caution while traveling.
