New Owner Plans Events, Renovations at Elements Tapas Bar in Downtown Medford

MEDFORD, Ore. (Feb. 3, 2026) — Elements Tapas Bar in downtown Medford is reopening this month under new ownership after undergoing a major renovation, with plans for expanded events, updated décor and refreshed menu offerings.

Brenda Watson, whose professional background is in the mental health field, recently purchased the restaurant from longtime owner Chris Dennett.

“I wasn’t looking to buy a restaurant, but my favorite thing to do when out of town is go to piano bars. I heard Chris Dennett was ready to move on, so I bought Elements from him,” said Watson. “Chris has been a great mentor,” she added.

While Watson is not converting the restaurant into a piano bar, she plans to host a variety of events in the former banquet room, including dual piano performances, winemaker dinners, whiskey tastings and themed nights such as Prohibition Night.

The bar program will largely remain the same but will highlight rare, high-end bourbons. Local wines will be featured more prominently, and the menu will expand its mocktail offerings to appeal to guests exploring alcohol-free options.

Tapas will continue to anchor the food menu. “I love the shared plate concept,” said Watson.

The restaurant underwent a full renovation led primarily by Alpha Construction and Zenith Painting Company. The kitchen was completely rebuilt, and the dining areas received updated décor.

“A little modern, but ‘loungie’ and social friendly where people can gather together and share plates,” Watson said.

Upgrades include new flooring, freshly painted walls and new furniture in neutral tones with accents of blue. The restaurant was closed throughout January for the remodel.

“We weren’t expecting to do this much, but we wanted to do it right,” Watson said.

Elements Tapas Bar is located at 101 East Main Street and can be reached at 541-779-0135.
