Dogs From Crystal Drive Case Housed at Jackson County Animal Shelter

EAGLE POINT, Ore. (Jan. 10, 2026)— All dogs involved in the Crystal Drive case are currently being housed at the Jackson County Animal Shelter, where staff and volunteers are providing care amid an increased demand on resources, officials said in an update released this week.

Authorities said the dogs were placed at the shelter through close coordination with Jackson County. Since the case became public, the shelter has received numerous calls from community members seeking information, offering assistance, and inquiring about adoption opportunities.

At this time, only a limited number of dogs have been formally relinquished by the owner. Officials said ownership of the remaining animals was not surrendered at the time they were rescued, and a court process must be completed before any additional dogs can be made available for adoption.

If a forfeiture order is granted by the court, adoptions will be coordinated through Midwest Schipperke Rescue. No timeline has been established for when that process may conclude. Information on dogs that are currently available, as well as adoption inquiries, is being handled through Midwest Schipperke Rescue.

The large number of animals has placed a significant strain on the Jackson County Animal Shelter’s staff and resources. Those wishing to help are encouraged to make financial donations directly to the shelter. Donors may note that their contribution is intended to support the “Crystal Drive” case. Shelter officials said they are not accepting item or supply donations at this time.

Officials also warned the public to be cautious of online fundraising efforts claiming to support the animals involved in the case. Any individual or group not working directly with the Jackson County Animal Shelter or Midwest Schipperke Rescue is not authorized to raise funds for the dogs’ care, authorities said.

Shelter officials thanked the community for its continued support and understanding as efforts continue to ensure the best possible outcome for the animals involved.
