Wind Advisory in Effect for Rogue Valley Communities Until 4 p.m.

MEDFORD, Ore. (Dec. 25, 2025) — A wind advisory remains in effect until 4 p.m. this afternoon for areas west of the Cascades, including Rogue Valley communities such as Medford, Ashland, Phoenix, Talent and Central Point, according to the National Weather Service in Medford.

South winds of 10 to 20 mph are expected, with gusts reaching up to 40 mph. Forecasters said the strongest winds will impact areas west of the Cascade Range, where gusty conditions could blow around unsecured objects.

The National Weather Service warned that light outdoor items such as tents and empty trash bins may be displaced by the winds. Large or inflatable holiday decorations are also vulnerable and could be damaged or blown over in these conditions.

Residents are urged to secure loose outdoor objects and decorations to reduce the risk of property damage. The advisory is scheduled to expire late this afternoon as conditions gradually improve.
