Wingstop to Open First Medford Location at Stewart Meadows Village

MEDFORD, Ore. (Dec 8, 2025)— The national chicken‑wing chain Wingstop is slated to open its first location in the Rogue Valley in the spring of 2026, a new restaurant planned for 15 Garfield Street — just west of Panera Bread in the Stewart Meadows Village development in south Medford. The move would represent Wingstop’s first entry into the Medford metro, bringing the brand’s signature flavors to the region for the first time.

A growing footprint — and a growing brand

Founded in 1994 in Garland, Texas, by Antonio Swad and Bernadette Fiaschetti, Wingstop began as a small, wing‑focused eatery. Its first franchised outpost opened in 1997.  Over the years the chain expanded substantially: by 2002, it had already sold more than a billion wings.  As of late 2025, Wingstop operates more than 3,000 restaurants worldwide, after opening nearly 800 new locations in the past two years — a 50 % expansion in global footprint.

Today the chain is present across 47 U.S. states and 15 countries, positioning itself for further international growth with planned entry into new markets including Thailand, Italy and Ireland.

Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Wingstop describes its mission as “Serving the World Flavor.” The chain is known for its made‑to‑order, hand sauced‑and‑tossed wings and chicken dishes, offering both bone‑in and boneless wings, chicken tenders, sandwiches, and a variety of distinctive sauces and sides.

Wingstop in Oregon — what’s already here

Wingstop already has a presence in Oregon, serving customers in several cities. Registered locations include the Portland area (e.g., Northeast MLK Blvd, Southeast 82nd Avenue), as well as suburbs like Beaverton.  The chain also operates in Eugene — offering local wing fans access to its full menu of sauces, tenders, wings and sides.

The planned Medford restaurant would mark the southernmost expansion of Wingstop within Oregon, filling a geographic gap and potentially serving a new market of wing enthusiasts across the Rogue Valley.

What to expect — and what’s unknown

According to publicly available information, the Medford site will be built at the Stewart Meadows Village retail development, near an established Panera Bread. The location puts Wingstop in a growing retail and dining hub for south Medford.

For wing lovers in southern Oregon, the arrival of Wingstop could bring a widely recognized, heavily franchised brand — with a long history and a broad menu — to the Rogue Valley for the first time.
