MEDFORD, Ore. (Nov. 25, 2025) — Enrollment at Rogue Community College is continuing its steady post-pandemic rise, marking the fifth straight year of growth amid increasing strain on campus facilities.
RCC recorded a fourth-week headcount of 5,560 students this fall, a 7% increase over the 5,193 students reported in fall 2024, according to the Higher Education Coordinating Commission. Headcount includes all students taking credit or non-credit courses.
This fall also marks the first time RCC’s full-time equivalent enrollment has rebounded to pre-pandemic levels. The college reported a fourth-week FTE of 1,349, compared with 1,271 in 2019. RCC’s 52% growth in FTE over the past four fall terms triples the state average of 17%, earning the college recognition as the fastest-growing community college in Oregon over that period.
“The need for skilled graduates in our region has never been greater, and Rogue Community College is proud to help meet that need,” said RCC President Randy Weber. “As enrollment continues to grow, we’re eager to support the community’s increasing demand. Our challenge now is space — we’re at or near capacity in many areas due to shifts in program enrollments.”
College officials attribute the growth to expanding programs and partnerships aligned with regional workforce needs, particularly in health care, manufacturing and technology. Those areas continue to draw students seeking in-demand, well-paying careers close to home.
However, RCC’s ability to expand access remains limited by state funding caps under Oregon’s growth management formula and by facility constraints across its campuses. The college cites increasing pressure on classroom and lab availability, including a need for more science lab space at the Table Rock Campus to support growing health-care programs.
RCC leaders say they are evaluating long-term solutions as enrollment continues its upward trend.
