MEDFORD, Ore. (Nov. 20, 2025) — A regional child exploitation task force executed a search warrant Thursday morning in the Liberty Park district of Medford. The search took place at an apartment complex after investigators traced uploaded images of child exploitation to the location, authorities said.
The Southern Oregon Child Exploitation Team (SOCET), working with the Medford Police Department, served the warrant just before 8 a.m. at an apartment in the 200 block of Beatty Street. Officials said the investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children forwarded a cyber tip that led detectives to issue subpoenas and ultimately obtain the warrant.
Detectives interviewed potential witnesses and individuals connected to the residence, and the investigation remains ongoing, authorities said.
Investigators seized multiple digital devices from the apartment, which will undergo forensic examination by the Southern Oregon High Tech Crimes Task Force to determine whether additional evidence of child exploitation is present.
SOCET, formed in 2020 to combat child exploitation, includes investigators from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Medford Police Department, Oregon Department of Justice’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and Homeland Security Investigations, along with prosecutors from local, state, and federal agencies in Jackson and Josephine counties. The Southern Oregon High Tech Crimes Task Force is a separate inter-agency team comprised of investigators from the sheriff’s office, MPD, and federal partners.
Authorities said detectives are pursuing further leads. No additional details were released.
