Dense Fog Advisory Issued for Southern Oregon Until Saturday Morning

MEDFORD, Ore. (Nov. 7,2025) — The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a Dense Fog Advisory in effect until 10 a.m. Saturday for portions of Southern Oregon and Northern California, warning that visibility could drop to a quarter mile or less in some areas.

The advisory covers several key valleys, including the Umpqua Basin, Rogue Valley, Illinois Valley, and Applegate Valley in Oregon, as well as the Klamath River Valley, Scott Valley, and Shasta Valley in California.

Forecasters said the dense fog could create hazardous driving conditions, particularly during the late night and early morning hours. Motorists are urged to slow down, use headlights, and maintain extra distance from other vehicles.

The fog is expected to gradually lift by late Saturday morning as temperatures rise and atmospheric conditions improve.

For the latest road and weather updates, drivers are encouraged to check the Oregon Department of Transportation and Caltrans travel information sites before heading out.
