One Arrested During ICE Enforcement Operation in Klamath Falls

Klamath Falls, Oregon- Federal immigration agents conducted an enforcement operation in Klamath Falls this week, resulting in the arrest of one person with a felony warrant, according to the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office.

The agency confirmed Thursday that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were in the community on Wednesday, October 22.

“After speaking with an ICE agent, we were advised that they were in the community for the day and apprehended one individual with a felony warrant,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. “ICE indicated that their current enforcement efforts are focused on individuals with serious or high-level felony crimes.”

Local authorities said the information was shared “to keep our community informed of law enforcement activity in the area.”

No additional details about the individual arrested or the nature of the felony warrant were immediately released.
