Two Westside Structure Fires Keep Metro Crews Busy

Medford, Oregon- Medford Fire Department and Jackson County Fire District 3 crews responded to two separate structure fires Wednesday afternoon on the west side of the city.

The first fire was reported around 12:25 p.m. on the 2700 block of Howard Avenue. By midafternoon, the department confirmed the fire was contained.

The fire has been extinguished, and crews have cleared the scene. A Deputy Fire Marshal remains onscene investigating the origin and cause of the fire,

Medford Fire Department said in a 2:30 p.m. update.

Just after 3 p.m., crews were called to another reported structure fire on Sage Road, between Oregon 238 and West McAndrews Road. The road was closed for about an hour as firefighters responded.

Both fires have since been extinguished and remain under independent investigation. No injuries were reported.
