Single-Vehicle Crash Kills Rogue River Man on Highway 99

Jackson County, Oregon– A Rogue River man was killed early Thursday in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 99 in Jackson County, authorities said.

Oregon State Police said troopers responded at about 6:05 a.m. Thursday near milepost 6. A preliminary investigation found that a southbound Mazda driven by 21-year-old Tristan Mitchel Donaldson was traveling at excessive speed when it lost control, left the roadway, rolled multiple times and came to rest against a tree.

Donaldson was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The highway was not closed during the investigation. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Fire District 1, and the Oregon Department of Transportation assisted OSP at the scene.
