Near Talent, Oregon- The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said Friday afternoon there is an active law enforcement operation underway in the 9000 block of Wagner Creek Road, prompting a full road closure in both directions.
Authorities are urging the public to avoid the area while deputies and specialized units conduct their response. Witnesses told Medford Alert News that a sheriff’s SWAT team is on scene, though officials have not released details about the nature of the activity.
Wagner Creek Road runs south from Talent into the foothills of the Siskiyou Mountains and is a residential and rural corridor. The closure is expected to impact local traffic until law enforcement clears the area.
The sheriff’s office said more information will be released when available.
