
Medford, Oregon- A section of East McAndrews Road was shut down Wednesday afternoon after a reported gas leak on Bonita Avenue, according to authorities.
Medford Police responded to the call of the gas leak around 3:02 p.m. The closure extends from Springbrook Road to Ramada Avenue and will remain in place until further notice.
Medford Fire Department, the city’s Quick Response Team and Avista Utilities responded and are working to secure the scene. As of late Wednesday afternoon, no injuries or property damage had been reported.
Officials have not provided an estimate for when the roadway will reopen. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
