Motorcycle Crash Closes McAndrews Road Section in East Medford

Medford, Oregon- A serious vehicle crash involving a motorcycle has closed a key stretch of McAndrews Road in east Medford Thursday morning, police said.

The incident occurred around 10:15 a.m., prompting the closure of McAndrews Road between Biddle Road and Royal Avenue. Detours have been established, and drivers are asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

The Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction (STAR) team has been activated to investigate the crash. The duration of the closure is currently unknown.

No additional details, including the condition of the motorcyclist or other parties involved, have been released. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.


Medford Police officials released the following update:

We continue to be on scene of a multi-vehicle collision, involving a motorcycle, at the intersection of McAndrews and Poplar.

E.McAndrews continues to be closed between Biddle Rd. and Royal Ave., please continue to avoid the area.

The Serious Traffic Accident Team (STAR) remains on scene, and we anticipate the road to be closed for an extended period of time.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Family notifications for those involved have been made.
