Father Arrested After Allegedly Crashing Truck with Children Inside, Killing Daughter

Glendale, Oregon- A Wolf Creek man was arrested on charges of second-degree manslaughter after a pickup truck crash killed his 11-year-old daughter Monday afternoon. Driver impairment is being investigated as a factor in the incident.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO), deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash on Oregon Department of Forestry land near the 1200 block of Tunnel Road in Glendale at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025.

The vehicle, a green Ford F250, was occupied by the driver, Ian Anthony Fleming, 55, and three juvenile females when it rolled multiple times down an embankment. All three juveniles were thrown from the vehicle and sustained injuries.

Fleming was able to exit the vehicle and sought medical help for his seriously injured daughter. He drove her to an ambulance station on Tunnel Road using a borrowed vehicle. Paramedics from Glendale Ambulance pronounced the child deceased shortly after arrival.

The two other juveniles were transported by Glendale Ambulance to Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford for treatment. Their conditions have not been disclosed.

DCSO detectives were called to the scene after deputies reported that Fleming had initially fled. He later returned to the crash site and was interviewed by investigators. Detectives determined that alcohol and drugs were involved and arrested Fleming for second-degree manslaughter. He was lodged at the Douglas County Jail.

Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing.
