

Medford, Oregon- At approximately 8:02 p.m., emergency agencies responded to a significant multi-vehicle collision involving several semi-trucks on northbound Interstate 5 near milepost 27.9, just beyond the downtown viaduct.
According to the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), one of the semi-trucks jackknifed during the incident, blocking all northbound lanes. Traffic congestion has rapidly built up, extending back toward the Exit 27 interchange.
Emergency personnel are on-site, working to assess the situation and clear the scene. ODOT officials are assisting with traffic control, but no estimate has been provided for when the lanes will reopen.
Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes and exercise caution in the area. Authorities recommend monitoring traffic updates for the latest information on the closure and detours.
