


Rogue River, Oregon– Authorities in Jackson County are investigating a shooting that occurred this morning in a rural area of Rogue River. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) reported that at approximately 11:16 a.m., emergency dispatch received a call regarding a shooting in the 8100 block of West Evans Creek Road.
Law enforcement officials, including JCSO deputies and officers from the Rogue River Police Department, responded promptly to the scene. The suspect was taken into custody without incident, and officers provided initial medical assistance to the victim. Rogue River Fire personnel arrived shortly after and assumed responsibility for medical care, transporting the victim to a nearby hospital.
Authorities confirmed that the victim is alive and receiving treatment for injuries. There is no ongoing threat to the public, according to the JCSO.
Detectives from the Ashland Police Department are assisting in the investigation. The case remains open, and additional details will be shared as the investigation progresses.
For now, law enforcement officials have not released the identities of those involved or provided information about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
