Eagle Point School District Employee Arrested on Sex Abuse Charges

Eagle Point, Oregon- A month-long investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) Special Victims Unit (SVU) has resulted in the arrest of an Eagle Point School District employee on multiple charges, including sex abuse and luring a minor.

Amanda Rose Leonardo, also known as “Pody,” 38, of Eagle Point, turned herself in to authorities on November 21. She is currently lodged in the Jackson County Jail and faces charges including three counts of third-degree sexual abuse, luring a minor, tampering with physical evidence, and providing alcohol to a person under 21.

According to JCSO, the victims identified in the case were of high school age. Investigators emphasized that the charges are not related to Leonardo’s position within the Eagle Point School District.

SVU detectives are seeking assistance from the public as the investigation continues. Anyone with information related to the case is urged to contact the JCSO Tip Line at (541) 774-8333, referencing case number 24-5413.
