
Medford, Oregon- Authorities responded to a vehicle pursuit in West Medford on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in a significant police presence near 4th Street and Oakdale Avenue.
The incident began when the driver of a vehicle fled law enforcement and subsequently abandoned the car, continuing on foot. Officers established a perimeter in the area in an effort to locate the suspect.
As a precaution, McLoughlin Middle School implemented Secure status during the initial response. The school later lifted these measures and resumed normal operations after authorities determined there was no immediate threat to students or staff.
At 2:55 PM, police reported that the perimeter had been lifted. While the suspect remains at large, officers have secured the vehicle involved and are continuing their investigation, including further checks of the surrounding area.
Authorities have advised residents to remain aware and report any suspicious activity. Further updates will be provided as the investigation develops.
