OSP Seek Witnesses in Josephine County Shooting Incident

Josephine County, Oregon Oregon State Police (OSP) detectives are requesting witnesses to come forward with video footage related to a shooting incident that took place early Saturday morning in Josephine County.

At approximately 2:00 a.m. on October 26, police responded to reports of gunfire at a large gathering. An adult male sustained gunshot wounds to the abdomen and was transported to a local hospital by private vehicle, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

While many attendees at the party were reported to be underage and intoxicated, police have confirmed that all individuals directly involved in the altercation are adults over the age of 18. Following the shooting, multiple attendees fled the scene, resulting in two separate rollover vehicle accidents, both of which led to minor injuries.

OSP detectives believe there are multiple cell phone recordings of the incident and are urging witnesses to provide any available footage. Those with information are asked to contact the OSP Southern Command Center at 800-442-2068 or by dialing *677 from a mobile device, referencing case number #SP24-350006.

The investigation remains active, and OSP has not released the identities of those involved. Detectives have stated there is no ongoing public safety threat stemming from the incident.
