Medford, Oregon- Early this morning, at approximately 6:13 a.m., emergency responders attended to a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision on 10th Street near Cottage Street.
According to initial reports, a small SUV traveling eastbound on 10th Street struck a pedestrian who was standing in the middle of the travel lane.
The pedestrian sustained a critical head injury and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. No further information regarding their condition has been released at this time.
The driver of the SUV remained on the scene and is cooperating fully with authorities as they conduct their investigation. The Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction (STAR) Team responded promptly to assess the scene and gather evidence for a comprehensive review of the incident.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to determine the circumstances that led to the collision.
