Fugitive with Ties to Southern Oregon Sought After Eluding Capture in Idaho

Coeur D’ Alene, Idaho- Authorities are actively searching for Christian Bert Fischer, a 42-year-old fugitive wanted in Florida on charges of attempting to meet a minor through online luring. Fischer reportedly evaded capture in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on Tuesday, October 22.

The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) has identified Fischer as a white male, 5’10” in height, weighing 200 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. Law enforcement notes that he may dress as a woman to avoid detection.

Fischer was last seen in the Portland area before moving through southern Oregon, including stops in Ashland, Lake of the Woods, and Wolf Creek during June and July.

The nationwide search for Fischer involves USMS task forces across the country, including the Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force (PNVOTF).
