Rogue Community College Appoints New Executive Director of Foundation

Medford, Oregon- Rogue Community College (RCC) has announced the appointment of Cass Sinclair as the new executive director of the Rogue Community College Foundation, effective October 7, 2024. Sinclair brings extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, community engagement, and strategic planning to her new role, positioning her to lead the foundation in its mission to enhance educational opportunities and community impact across Southern Oregon.

Sinclair’s appointment follows her successful tenure as executive director of Opportunities for Housing, Resources and Assistance (OHRA) in Ashland. During her time at OHRA, she spearheaded a range of initiatives aimed at addressing homelessness and housing instability, most notably securing funding for Oregon’s first Project Turnkey. This innovative project involved the conversion of a Super 8 Motel into a fully staffed, low-barrier shelter and resource center—providing much-needed housing and resources to the local community. Her leadership in securing and implementing this project highlights her commitment to addressing pressing community needs and improving lives, qualities that will greatly benefit the RCC Foundation.

In welcoming Sinclair to her new role, Jamee Harrington, RCC’s Vice President of People, Culture, and Safety, expressed confidence in Sinclair’s ability to lead the foundation to new heights. “We are thrilled to welcome Cass to RCC,” said Harrington. “Her leadership experience, strategic mindset, and dedication to community service make her a perfect addition to the team. I’m confident that Cass will continue to strengthen the foundation’s role in our community, helping us reach new heights in student success and community engagement.”

As executive director of the RCC Foundation, Sinclair will be responsible for leading the foundation’s fundraising efforts, expanding scholarship programs, and cultivating partnerships with businesses, alumni, and donors. Her efforts will aim to further enhance the foundation’s ability to support RCC students, foster academic success, and deepen its role within the Southern Oregon community.

Sinclair holds a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in human communication, both from Southern Oregon University. Her educational background, combined with her experience in nonprofit leadership, makes her well-suited to navigate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for the RCC Foundation.
