
Medford, Oregon- At approximately 5:17 p.m. today, the Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon (ECSO) began receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a structure fire on the 1800 block of Serenity Drive in northeast Medford. In response, the Medford Fire Department initially deployed six fire engines and support personnel, to the scene. Jackson County Fire District 3 also sent engines to assist.
Upon arrival, fire crews confirmed an active fire at a residential structure. The fire prompted the immediate closure of Serenity Drive at Brookhurst Street as firefighters and other emergency personnel worked to contain the blaze. A second alarm was called in shortly after first arrival to activate additional resources.
Medford Police have been dispatched to assist with traffic control and ensure public safety. Pacific Power was also notified and is currently on-site to address any potential utility hazards.


Officials are urging residents to avoid the area to allow first responders to manage the incident. Medford Alert is actively monitoring the situation and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
No further details on the cause of the fire or any injuries have been released at this time.
Update: The fire has been extinguished, however crews will remain on scene into this evening conducting overhaul operation. A Medford Fire Department investigator is also on scene working. At this time, there is no official cause of the fire or any confirmed injures.
