Northbound Interstate 5 Blocked by Jackknifed Truck Near Ashland

Near Ashland, Oregon- Traffic on Interstate 5 (I-5) in has come to a standstill due to a jackknifed semi-truck blocking the northbound lanes. The incident occurred at milepost 7, approximately seven miles north of the Oregon-California border, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT).

ODOT has confirmed that the semi-truck is completely obstructing the northbound lanes, causing significant delays for motorists traveling through the area. Crews are currently on-site working to clear the roadway, but ODOT has warned that the process could take some time due to the complexity of the situation.

Travelers are advised to avoid the area if possible or to expect lengthy delays.

There is no word yet on the cause of the accident or if there have been any injuries. ODOT has not provided an estimated time for when the highway will be fully reopened, but updates will be made available as more information is provided.
