Authorities Dismantle Three Illegal Marijuana Operations in Selma

Selma, Oregon– On August 8, 2024, the Josephine Marijuana Enforcement Team (JMET), supported by Josephine County Public Health & Building Safety, executed three search warrants on Hogue Drive, Selma, targeting illegal marijuana grow sites. The operations resulted in the seizure and destruction of over 8,000 marijuana plants across the three locations.

The three properties, although in close proximity, were not connected and were operated by separate groups. Authorities have indicated that at least one of the grow sites is believed to have links to an interstate drug trafficking organization.

During the searches, a stolen vehicle was recovered at one of the properties. In addition to the illegal marijuana operations, all three properties were found to have multiple violations of electrical, water, and solid waste codes. These infractions could lead to the criminal forfeiture of the properties involved.

David Conas, 57, was arrested at one of the locations and charged with Unlawful Use of a Vehicle. Authorities are continuing their investigation to locate additional suspects who were not present during the execution of the warrants. These individuals will face charges including Unlawful Manufacturing of Marijuana and Unlawful Appropriation of Water.

As the investigation is ongoing, no further details have been released by authorities at this time.
