

Grants Pass, Oregon- In a coordinated effort, Grants Pass Fire, Grants Pass Police Department, and AMR-Josephine County responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of G Street and Westholm Avenue earlier today. The incident prompted road closures and left thousands without power.
According to a Facebook post from Grants Pass Fire, G Street is currently closed at the intersections of Westholm Avenue and Wildwood Avenue due to the collision. Emergency crews are on the scene, managing the aftermath of the incident.
The collision, as reported by Grants Pass Fire, has resulted in damage to power lines in the area. Pacific Power’s outage map reflects the impact, showing a significant outage zone near the crash site. As of 11:30 a.m., Pacific Power reports approximately 2,226 customers in Grants Pass without electricity.
Efforts to restore power are underway, with Pacific Power estimating a service restoration time of 4:00 p.m. today. The affected customers are urged to remain patient as crews work to resolve the situation.
Local authorities remind everyone to exercise caution when approaching the affected area and to follow any detour instructions provided by law enforcement. The collaborative response from emergency services reflects the dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.
