Two Juveniles Arrested in Charles Point Shooting Homicides

Over the weekend, Medford Police detectives contacted and arrested two juvenile males who are believed to have been involved in the shooting incident on the morning of December 3rd.

Because they are juveniles, the names of those arrested will not be released. Both subjects are 17-years-old and are from Grants Pass. Both were lodged at the Jackson County Juvenile Detention Facility on the charges of Murder in the Second Degree and Conspiracy to Commit Murder.

At this time, detectives are continuing to investigate this case. However, MPD can confirm that during this incident, it is believed that a confrontation broke out at the apartment over a past disagreement. During this confrontation, shots were fired by multiple parties. As previously released, 26-year-old Christian Torres and 33-year-old Dontrell Manninen died as a result of their injuries.

This case will be prosecuted by the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office. Authorities say there will be no further information released on this case at this time.
