One Hospitalized After Grants Pass Assault Involving Knife

Grants Pass Police Officers were dispatched to Caveman RV located on Rogue River Hwy this afternoon, for a reported violent assault. The incident resulted in the arrest of 43-year-old Jesse Dart, a Grants Pass resident.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a tense situation had unfolded, as Jesse Dart had allegedly brandished a knife during a confrontation with a store employee. The 49-year-old male victim sustained injuries as a result of the incident. Medical attention was administered by first responders, and the victim was transported to Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford, where he is currently being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

In light of the seriousness of the situation, Grants Pass Police Detectives were dispatched to the scene to provide further assistance in conducting the investigation. As a result of their findings, Jesse Dart has been apprehended and taken into custody.

Jesse Dart now faces charges of 2nd Degree Assault and Unlawful Use of a Weapon, both of which carry significant legal implications. He has been lodged at the Josephine County Jail while the legal process unfolds.

No additional information was released by authorities at this time.


All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
