On Sunday at approximately 1:53 p.m., Medford Police responded to a disturbance call in the 3600 block of Camina Drive. The initial report mentioned individuals outside engaged in a heated argument and making threats involving firearms.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered that a shot had been fired into the ground by one of the individuals. Medford Police Lieutenant Lane told Medford Alert the bullet ricocheted off the ground, striking another person but did not cause any physical harm.
The incident had its origins in a domestic dispute, with the suspect, identified as 39-year-old Anthony M. Neal, allegedly pointing a firearm at his wife during the argument. Subsequently, other individuals became aware of the situation and arrived at the location to confront the suspect regarding his treatment of his spouse.

Medford Police arrested Neal and lodged him in jail on charges of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Recklessly Endangering Another, and Menacing. Fortunately, no injuries resulted from this alarming incident.
The Medford Police Department continues to investigate the matter to ensure the safety and well-being of all parties involved.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
