Police Respond to Armed Man in West Medford Residence

Authorities in Medford are urging residents to steer clear of the 400 block of King Street as they respond to an ongoing incident involving an armed man barricaded inside a house.

In a Facebook post, the department stated, “This incident began when MPD responded to a call of a neighbor dispute.” Upon arrival, officers encountered a male individual armed with a large AR-style rifle. The situation intensified when the man reportedly instructed officers to open fire on him, prompting him to retreat into his residence.
