Central Point Police Seeks Help in Locating Missing Teen

UPDATE: CPPD say the teen has been located safe. No additional information was released at this time.


The Central Point Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in locating a missing juvenile, Sophee Burris, who was last seen on September 15, 2023.

Sophee, a 15-year-old white female, stands at 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds. She has brown hair that she may wear either curly or straight, and her eyes are brown.

Concerns for her well-being have grown as she left her home on the aforementioned date and has not been seen or heard from since. The Central Point Police Department is actively working to reunite her with her family and ensure her safety.

There is reason to believe that Sophee Burris may be frequenting the Medford area, particularly the Rogue Valley Mall area. Authorities are reaching out to the community in the hopes that someone may have seen or heard something related to her whereabouts.

If you have any information about the location or circumstances surrounding Sophee’s disappearance, please contact CPPD School Resource Officer (SRO) Jones at 541-664-5578. When providing information, reference case number 23-5905 to assist law enforcement in their investigation.
