Water Line Break on Stewart Avenue Causes Traffic Disruption

A significant water line break has occurred on Stewart Ave. between Grape Street and Meyers Lane, leading to disruptions in the area. Medford Water and City maintenance crews have responded to the incident, currently working at the scene.

As a result of the water line break, the westbound lanes of Stewart Ave. have been temporarily closed off to traffic. Despite the closure, one lane remains open in each direction, allowing limited access for motorists. However, commuters are advised to anticipate delays and congestion along Stewart Ave.

In light of the ongoing repair efforts, alternative routes are strongly recommended for drivers who wish to avoid the affected area. The situation is being closely monitored by local authorities, who are committed to restoring normal traffic flow as soon as possible.

Crews are scheduled to commence a thorough assessment of the damage and initiate repairs once it is deemed safe to proceed. At this time, an exact timeframe for the completion of the repair work cannot be provided.

Medford Alert will continue to monitor this incident and provide updates once additional information is available.
