Authorities Searching For Missing Elderly Rogue Valley Man

The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office has launched a search for a missing person, identified as Michael Edward MacKenzie, aged 70. Mr. MacKenzie, a Caucasian male with gray hair and blue eyes, stands at 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 185 pounds.

The report was filed on August 11, 2023, after concerned individuals raised an alarm about Mr. MacKenzie’s disappearance. He was last known to be heading towards Shasta Lake on Sunday, August 6, 2023. The exact point of departure remains uncertain, as he may have left from either a residence in Grants Pass or Wimer. Officials are currently working to ascertain the vehicle he was driving at the time.

As of August 11th, there has been no contact or communication from Mr. MacKenzie, and he has not reached his intended destination at Shasta Lake. Family, friends, and authorities are actively seeking any information that could help locate him.
