There is a fire in Ashland’s watershed near the East Fork Creek of Reeder Reservoir. There is no threat to the city of Ashland at this time. Smoke from the fire is drifting into Ashland and visible in surrounding areas.
US Forest Service Fire crews are on scene, fire is on the ground “creeping” along at approximately 1.5 acres.
Further updates and information are expected later this morning. There are no current active evacuation orders.
10:25a UPDATE: Officials say the fire is held at approximately 2 acres. US Forest Service Crews are on scene, including firefighting aircraft. No current threat to Ashland.
