Later this month, three Grants Pass residents will present to the City of Medford, their plans for one of Oregon’s first commercial Psilocybin grows.
The plans call for a Psilocybin cultivation business (named Astral Projections) to be located in an industrial area on the 800 block of N. Riverside Ave, just south of downtown Medford.
The business owners stated the following about their proposal: “Our goal is to supply Oregon licensed Service Centers, that can provide the necessary resources to provide benefits of Psilocybin therapy. For products, we would produce whole fungi, once licensed by the state. Our target market is licensed service centers that focus on PTSD care, end of life care, depression, and self learning. As for pricing, we plan to stay competitive with other companies. With this brand new growing market, we are honored to be Medford and Jackson Counties first potential psilocybin business.”
According to the developer fillings, the surrounding buildings are in cannabis related businesses already. “So we feel that we will not cause significant adverse impact,” the developers stated.
If approved by the city, interior improvements could begin as early as the spring, granted operators are licensed through the state and OLCC.
