Today marks a massive change for a Rogue Valley landmark. The Historic Jacksonville Inn has decided to end their decades long dinner service.
In 2021, a new ownership group took over the landmark Jacksonville business and its day to day operations. At that time, the ownership group stated “We want to create meaningful moments that delight our guests through reimagined settings, graceful service, and flavorful cuisine complementing the unique character of our adored community.”
The change does not affect any other portions of the Inn at this time. A Jacksonville Inn employee told Medford Alert that they will still be offering lunch services at their Wine Bar.
The ownership group released the following statement regarding the change.
To All Our Valued Guests and Friends,
As we enter this new year, we share heavy-hearted news. As of January 7th, the Jacksonville Inn will no longer offer dinner service. As owners, we have made the difficult decision to close this portion of our business management while beginning to search for a tenant that complements this exceptional restaurant space.
Our vision for 2023 and beyond at the Jacksonville Inn is to continue renovating our landmark property to attract new tenants that complement and energize our historic downtown community. We have made significant updates with fully refurbished hotel rooms alongside our inviting Wine Bar, which will remain open and welcoming guests. With these renovations and future efforts, our goal is to honor the Inn’s long history, bring a new era of growth to the property, and continue our commitment to the community we serve.
Most importantly, we want to thank our wonderful guests and dedicated employees for supporting the Jacksonville Inn through significant transitions and challenging economic conditions. We are truly humbled and grateful for the kindness we’ve received from the community throughout our time as the owners of the Inn.
The Jacksonville Inn has been renowned for their dinner experience for the greater part of their nearly 55+ year existence.
