CalTrans District 2 has closed all northbound I5 traffic at the Fawndale Exit due to winter weather conditions further north on the interstate.
This closure is taking place approximately 10 miles north of Redding California.
UPDATE: Northbound I5 is now OPEN to vehicles. All trucks will be screened for chains in order to proceed north past Fawndale, 10 miles north of Redding.
FINAL UPDATE: Truck screening is no longer taking place on northbound I5 at Fawndale. I5 is now OPEN to all vehicles and trucks.
