Voters have until 8p this evening to drop off their signed ballot at any official Jackson County drop box site.

Streams of rain greeted streams of cars on West Main Street as dozens of vehicles waited their turn to drop off their ballot. Those that didn’t want to wait in their car, turned into nearby parking lots to park and walk to the box.

This is the first year that the state of Oregon will still count a ballot as long as it is postmarked November 8th or earlier. This could delay some close results as votes could be tallied for the next 7 days as additional ballots are received.
Be aware of heavy congestion if dropping off your ballot tonight. Several potential fender benders were narrowly missed in the time Medford Alert was on scene. If you are in line, at or before 8p tonight, your ballot will still be counted.
