Earlier today multiple crews responded to a small building fire at 2590 South Stage Road, near Griffin Creek Road.
Once on scene, crews were able to quickly gain access to the building and extinguish the fire. There are no reported civilian or firefighter injuries and a fire investigator is currently on scene.
This fire occurred in the Medford Rural Fire Protection District 2 which the department provides emergency services to. Jackson County Fire District 5 also assisted on scene.
Motorists should avoid the area near South Stage Road at Griffin Creek Road in Medford this afternoon due to congestion related to this structure fire response. Use alternate routes if possible.
