Annual RC Airshow to Benefit Children’s Miracle Network

The Rogue Eagles Annual Air Show will be held August 20 and 21, from 11:00-2:00, at Agate Skyways in Eagle Point.

This year’s theme is “Time To Fly” and will feature a variety of radio control aircraft of all types and sizes including turbine jets, helicopters, biplanes, rockets and historical aircraft demonstrating aerobatic, combat, and scale flying.

The groups states their goal is to get the audience closer to the action so attendees will have ample opportunities to interact with pilots and their aircraft up close, as well as to try their hand at flying an RC plane with an instructor.

Admission is $5 for adults or $10 per car, kids are free and proceeds will be donated to the Children’s Miracle Network locally.

Make sure to arrive hungry, as food vendors Kona-Ice (Saturday) and Toasted Cheese (Sunday) will be available on-site for delectable purchases.

Parking is free, and there are covered bleachers for seating, along with clean restrooms on site. Raffles will be held both days for fabulous planes and gear for beginners and experienced hobbyists alike (representatives say you do not need to be present to win).

Agate Skyways is located at 888 E. Antelope Road in Eagle Point. head east on HWY 140, just past Stone Ridge Golf Course turn right on E. Antelope, then in about a mile, turn right at the turn off for Agate Lake and the fire station.
