Earlier this evening, authorities provided an update on the continuing efforts to extinguish the McKinney Fire
Fire officials said conditions were sunny, not as hot, but still dry over the incident on Wednesday. Thursday is expected to be sunny, a little warmer, and still dry. Afternoon winds will be out of the west northwest with gusts up to 15 mph.
The fire remains at 60,389 acres, however, containment jumped to 75%. Nearly 3,000 personnel remain working the fire.
