Power Outage Affecting Nearly 5000 Westside Residents

Pacific Power is currently aware of a power outage in the west Medford area. As of 8:17a, there are approximately 4855 customers without service.

Pacific Power reports they have crews on scene working on the outage. Power to affected customers is expected to be restored by 4:30p today. There is no current cause of the outage as Pacific Power is still investigating.

All City facilities and programs, with the exception of Police and Fire, are currently closed due to the power outage. This includes Jackson Pool, Summer Day Camp and Preschool programs.

With high temperatures approaching 110 today, affected residents can take advantage of a free cooling center downtown, doors open at noon.

9:45a UPDATE: There are currently 3304 customers still without power. Updated timeline has full restoration of services by 1p.

1:05p: UPDATE: Power has been restored to affected customers.
