Medford Police are warning residents of a northwest area neighborhood, to be on the lookout for a black bear.
Shortly after midnight this morning, Medford Police sighted a black bear in the 700 block of Ellen Ave. At one point, the animal climbed a large tree, while police shined spotlights on the bear.
The bear was able to make it down from the tree and run away from officers. Authorities are alerting the public to use caution as the location of the bear are unknown at this time.
No additional information was released by police at this time. If you see the black bear, call police immediately.
