West Main Development Proposal Includes 48 Apartments

The property owner is proposing to convert a former 4,000 square foot Wells Fargo Bank branch building into a new Family Mart convenience store, plus an additional 750 sqft extension on the east of the existing building for a car wash. The project will add four gas pumps on two islands under a new canopy and approximately 800 square feet to the existing building on the west. This is all part of Phase I.

Phase II will see the construction of 48 apartment units and associated parking on the rear of the site.
The parcel is approximately 1.95 acres in size and is currently zoned C-C, Community Commercial.

Apartment Complex Proposal

The first phase of the project will mostly be confined to the existing, developed portion of the site, which is approximately .89 acres. Phase II will be the construction of a single building with 48 apartments. 36 one-bedroom and 12 two-bedroom units, constructed on the remaining 1.0 acres.

When complete, the site will have a total of 95 parking spaces. The project will make use of two existing access points off of West Main Street.

If approved, construction could begin as early as late Spring. We will continue to monitor this proposal as it moves through the approval process.
