Yesterday marked the highly anticipated grand opening of the West Main Street Family Mart, Car Wash, and Shell Gas Station complex, a family-owned and operated establishment that aims to provide top-notch services to the community. With a commitment to excellence and a focus on local families, the family-operated business spared no cost in creating a modern and welcoming market that caters to the needs of west Medford residents.
The impressive facilities boast state-of-the-art amenities, such as $5000 sinks for the bathrooms, reflecting the owners’ dedication to offering the best for their customers. Additionally, the site features a cutting-edge automated touchless car wash, providing a new convenient and efficient technology-based option for vehicle owners in the area.
This Family Mart location was a labor of love for family member, Deepak Arora, who serves at the company’s Head of Development. As this is the only Family Mart with this latest-generation touchless car wash system. The family expects the feature will bring people into the complex from all around the west Medford and nearby Jacksonville areas. The two other managing family members, Gary Arora and Rajiv Kumar are staying busy making sure everything is perfect as they open the doors of their newest location to the public. One customer, who stopped by shortly after the grand opening, walked inside and simply commented, “wow this is clean,” before heading to pick out a cold energy drink.
The family boasts that they exclusively use top tier fuel on the gas station side provided by Ed Staub & Sons. All Family Mart locations also conveniently honor and accept Fred Meyer Reward points and Shell Rewards.
Amit Gulati, one of the family members and proud owner, emphasized that the substantial investment was made “for the people of Medford.” The family’s vision is centered on promoting the wellbeing of the community, and the opening of this new establishment on West Main Street is a testament to their commitment. Unlike some nearby markets, this establishment focused on family service, “we are not another smoke shop” said Gulati. “We wanted to build a place local families could walk to and feel safe while they shop”. Conveniently, there is also a RVTD bus stop in front of the market that serves west Medford and connects with the Downtown Transfer Station. With a clean, open layout, the market has a large selection of beverages, fresh hot dogs, quick healthy food options, and of course coffee choices galore.
The West Main Street Family Mart is open 24 hours, ensuring that customers have access to a clean and modern market whenever they need it. As the newest addition to the family’s business ventures, this location joins their two existing local Family Mart branches in the Northgate Medford area and off I5 Exit 27 in South Medford. Excitingly, the company plans to expand further, with upcoming Family Mart locations in Eagle Point and Grants Pass. In addition to their Medford area presence, they have two other Oregon locations in Curtin and Roseburg.
